What are the best places to visit with children in Phuket?

Why Phuket is chosen for living and spending holidays by families with children? They are attacted by:

  • warm weather all year round,
  • clean spacious white sand beaches and diverse nature
  • urban infrastructure: shopping centers, schools, hospitals and an airport.

Beaches are where families spend 2-3 hours a day making friends, playing games, socializing. To diversify your vacation by the ocean, we offer several places to visit with children.

Since the island is large, we will divide it into three parts: north, center and south, and talk about each of them separately.

The north of Phuket is the areas with the beaches of Mai Khao, Naithon, Bang Tao, Thalang and Surin.

Splash Jungle is located in Mai Khao. It is a small clean water park with several enclosed slides for kids and open slides for adults, as well as a lazy river and a couple of other rides. The park is open from 10 am to 5 pm, you need to rent towels and lockers, it is forbidden to bring food and drinks.

Blue Tree Adventure Village is an entertainment center where both children and parents have fun. It is located in the popular Bang Tao area. In the water part (Blue Tree Lagoon) there are slides for children and adults, a jumping rock, an obstacle course, a climbing wall and a zip line. If you want to spend time not under the sun, but in an air-conditioned room, there is a trampoline park and a children's center in the neighborhood.

Rabbit Hole is a restaurant with a spacious green area where children can see and feed rabbits, goats, horses, buffalo, poultry and peacocks. There you can also ride a boat on the lake and enjoy a zipline.

Soi Dog is a help center for homeless animals, open for visits on weekdays from 9 to 11.30 and 13 to 15.30. At 10 am and 1 pm tours of the center are conducted. If quarantine is not carried out, you can visit puppies and kittens. Donations are welcome, as is volunteering – walking the dogs, administering medicine, combing their fur, and spending time with them is required.

Central part of Phuket

Rama IX Park is a park with exercise equipment, a playground and free toilets. The main attraction is treadmills. The longest is 4 kilometers, the second one is 800 meters shorter and the third one is even shorter. You can hide during the rain in pavilions. Lots of shady places available to walk and relax.

Andamanda water park is the new and popular water park. If you want to visit all the attractions, come in the morning, because you will have to spend up to half an hour in line for each slide. There are many slides, all are modern and both children and adults will enjoy the experience. Entrance fee here is higher than in Splash Jungle, food prices are quite high: fries cost 150 baht, a burger - 360 baht.

Cape Panwa Aquarium: A short underwater tunnel and a modest display await visitors here, with a low entrance fee. You can also check out the Turtle Conservation Center located next door.

Phuket Aquarium: an aquarium with 25,000 inhabitants. Check the show schedule - 11 performances run from 11 am to 3 pm. A couple of hours will fly unnoticed, the children will gain new knowledge about marine life and will definitely ask you to come back.

South Phuket

Rawai Park is an amusement park for young children. Here they will frolic in a shallow pool, ride slides and swings, climb obstacles in the open air. There is also an air-conditioned room with equipment for kids. A children's menu is available at the park cafe.

Youtopia Adventure Playground is a café and skate club playground for older kids. They can climb, slide, enjoy trampolines, zipline and swings. Skate and pump track bike rentals are available, as well as the necessary protection. The only disadvantage is that it's hot under the open sun, air conditioning is only available at the cafe.

Sweet Talk is the cafe with ice cream and desserts in Karon. Twice a day, a petting zoo is conducted here, but only if there is no rain. Then the children are invited to pet and feed the rabbits, goats and pigs. Art classes are held on the territory of the cafe, you can join them at any time.

Bird park is a great opportunity to see as many birds as possible in one place. There is a shaded area for walking and seeing new species of birds. In addition to birds, there are goats, rabbits, ostriches and crocodiles - all of them can be fed for a fee. There are shows three times a day.

Dino Park Mini Golf is a Jurassic-style park next to Karon Beach where you can play a game of mini golf while being surrounded by dinosaurs. The park is open from 10 am to late evening, 23.00. If you do not like golf, but want to walk around the territory, the park sells entrance tickets.

Phuket has plenty more to offer: waterfalls, souvenir shop tours, snorkelling, trips to nearby islands, and diving for kids. This will make your time on the island memorable and full of experiences. Have a nice holiday!
